South Wiltshire – A Vision for Future Economic Development*
Client: South Wiltshire Economic Partnership

The South Wiltshire Economic Partnership wanted an Economic Vision and Action Plan that would provide a comprehensive analysis of the South Wiltshire economy and its linkages. This was done by reviewing the existing portfolio of economic policies; undertaking an in-depth economic analysis of data and trends; and testing the views of relevant local organisations and the business community to help drive the process forward.

The Final Vision and Action Plan evolved significantly through a process of group meetings with the Partnership. The Business Services Future created a vision in which Salisbury’s historic and cultural status would be used to attract and support high value added business services for a broad market place in the region and beyond.

The economic  framework provided cohesive physical, economic and social development strategies so that the development partnership can continue to respond to the changing needs of diverse residential and business communities over an extended period of time.
